Review |Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs perfume

Posted on Posted in Beauty
Hello everyone!

Today I have a review for you all. It has been a while since I did one so I figured it was about time to do one. I am reviewing the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume for you. If you want to know what I think of this, continue reading!

First of all, the packaging looks really cute. The bottle has flowers all over it and has a light blue color.

It is a compact bottle, perfect to take with you on a holiday.

There are 50 ml of product in the bottle, for the price of 73, 45 euros. It is an expensive perfume, I got it as a gift for New Years.

On the site it says that the perfume is flowery and fruity. The ingredients used for this scent are berries, pear and grapefruit. In the heart, they used jasmin, nuts, lychee and the plant blue rain. The base of the perfume has a few white woodspecies, muskus and coconutwater.

Well, when I read this, I have to say I felt a little intrigued by the ingredients. There’s a lot of them, and they all promise a delicious scent.

The advertisments say the following: Daisy Dream focuses on a youthful, energizing and romantic view on life.

The perfume is a mix of elegance, feminine and fixes on details. It has a dreamy, fresh scent.

Overall view

I have to say, I really like this scent. As they say in the advertisment, the scent is youthful and fresh.

I think this scent is perfect for young girls who like a fresh, not that strong scent.

I  think it would be perfect to wear in the spring time. I do not smell any of the woodscents at all. To me, it is just flowers.

The lasting power is not that great. You have to re-apply the perfume throughout the day if you want it to last. I guess that’s why they called it an eau de toilette.

It is a feminine scent, but certainly not sweet. In fall and winter or on Valentine’s day or on any kind of date, it wouldn’t be the very best choice.

I would wear it on a spring-like, feminine occasion, and especially in the daytime. I wouldn’t go for it at night because I think it is not that suitable.

Would I repurchase it? I like the scent, but I think the price is way to high for what the product gives you. Because you have to re-apply much, the bottle will not last that long. Although I would be happy receiving it as a gift, or if the price would be lower. Then, I will certainly go for it!

Quick and short

+ Pretty packaging
+ Compact packaging, for holidays
+ Very spring-like
+ Feminine, young
+ Not a strong scent
+ Smells just like a flower
+ Daytime suitable

Not great lasting power
Not sweet
– Need to re-apply a lot
Not nighttime appropriate
– No woodscents noticeable
Can’t wear the whole year round

For who?

I recommend this scent for people who like a soft and light perfume, that don’t like a strong scent. It would also be perfect for young girls. People that love a flowery, feminine scent, would also like this perfume. It is suitable for everyone in the daytime spring.

That was it for today everyone. I hope you enjoyed reading this and found it helpful! Let me know in the comments what your favourite perfume is, I might end up buying it!

See you next time,

xoxo, Tessa
