I have been following the Sea Haven novels (and loving them) since 2005 and there are three ways to look at this book:
1 - the conclusion to Elle and Jackson''s story from Hidden Currents
2 - the conclusion to the Sisters of the Heart series
3 - the intro to the Torpedo Ink series

Unfortunately, the story does all three and basically glances over all three topics but mainly focuses on the Torpedo Ink.

This story does bring back all of the Drake sisters and their husbands which is both good (Jackson gets closure) and bad (Tyson would NEVER allow Libby to be put in danger). All of the Sisters of the Heart are back with their husbands, also. With all of the existing characters from Sea Haven (7 Drakes plus their husbands, 5 elements plus their husbands, Airiana''s rescued kids, and Blythe) and the mind boggling addition of 17 new and unheard of characters (Torpedo Ink), Viktor (the last Prakenskii brother), and some new rescued kids make for a confusing read.

We''ve known since RIkki''s wedding (Water Bound) that Blythe was married to a Prakenskii but this book had little time for Blythe and Viktor to work on their relationship. I did enjoy the fact that Jackson and Elle finally have closure and Hannah torturing Jonas. I do look forward to the new series. Despite the vast cast, Christine Feehan does write a good story. If you don''t have a great memory, I would suggest having a flow chart in front of you for reference as to who the characters are and how they are related. Overall, it is a good wrap up for the current Sea Haven residents and worth the time to read.

I was really excited to see another chapter in the Sea Haven series. However, starting with the Elle/Jackson story the series has gotten too dark/depressing for me. If Ms. Feehan truly abhors child abuse, torture and rape, why does she think her readers would enjoy reading about it - OVER and OVER. I got it after the first descriptive paragraph - Torpedo Ink kids were abused. Then the same descriptions were told it seems on every other page. Same as the character introductions. How many times does it take to say that Alena is sister to Ice & Storm???

I''m no prude, but Ms. Feehan''s sex scenes to me border on S&M - not interesting to me.

Since I had to start skipping over tales of child abuse, repetitive character introductions and sex scenes with a domineering hero and passive heroine, the book lost at least half it''s length.

No more Christine Feehan books for me.

Book Review- Bound Together by Christine Feehan

Blythe lives with her sisters of the heart and their husbands in Sea Haven. She has continued her life at the farm and as a physical therapist. One day she comes face to face with her past, her husband Viktor. He has been gone for five years without a word. Now he is in town and wants her back. Blythe is angry and hurt. She refuses to deal with him.
Viktor has been deep undercover for five years. He is going after a major sex trafficking ring. He and his MC are there to scope out a campsite for the Swords. Evan Shackler-Gratsos, head of the sex trafficking ring and the Swords motorcycle club, wants to kill Jackson Devereau and get Elle Drake back in his control. He wants to do this himself and plans to go to Sea Haven surrounded by his army of MC members.
Viktor knows that this is his chance to take Evan down once and for all. Then he can come home to Blythe to stay. He and his brothers and sisters can’t keep going as they have. They are too close to losing their souls. He knows that Blythe will help them all.
At first Blythe refuses to talk to him. She has open wounds and shocking secrets that are revealed. Viktor is beside himself as he learned what happened and why nothing went as planned. Viktor has to gain Blythe’s trust again and prove he is here to stay. He also has to keep her safe from the approaching battle between Shackler-Gratsos and Viktor’s crew.
I love this series. I am sad to see this section end. I loved seeing all the Drake sisters and Blythe’s sisters of the heart come together. Everyone was accounted for working together to stop Shackler-Gratsos as he was coming for two of their own.
The author really dug more into Blythe’s life and revealed more than ever about her. She has always been the stable and grounded sister. I like that the reader gets a glimpse into why she is the way she is. I also love that her marriage to Viktor is a shocking secret no one knew. It was fun to watch as everyone was blind-sided with the news.
Viktor was scary and tough but you immediately see his compassion, whether it be with his team or for those he rescues. You know he is messed up like they all are but salvageable. I liked the new characters introduced in this story. They were quite entertaining even though they were dark. I hope the author continues on with the telling of their stories. I know they will be good.
I thought this story was a great read and a perfect way to wrap up the series. I will warn you that there are some instances of abuse toward children that may disturb some readers. It is a dark topic.
With that being said, I am sad to see this series come to an end. I give this book a 4.5 out of 5.

This series was a spin off of the Drake Sisters which I absolutely loved. This series has become to dark for my tastes. Reading is my escape after handling the issues from my daily life and I prefer something lighter. The scenes with the kids being molested was too much for me. This book was a bridge for a new series that I will not be reading. That aside the main characters were glossed over and not developed. The hero is controlling and the heroine is passive. However the author has been consistent with her writing style and I''ve decided it''s not for me.

Okay, this one was hard to review. Why? Because it was suppose to be an end to one series and a beginning for another. This felt like half a book to me. Main characters? Viktor and his MC. Blythe? Yeah she gets thrown in there. I get Viktor has "new" brothers. But really that''s who the book was about, Viktor and his new brothers with everyone else kind of a side note. I didn''t like how they made out Ilya. Lev wasn''t able to find his redemption with Elle( the potential was there but again the MC reigned.) The Prakenskii brothers weren''t developed AT ALL. She also made them all seem weak, because the next books characters need to be so strong. I did not like that at all. They made what the others went through as children trivial. Since the story was about Viktor and Blythe and her taking in kids, it would''ve been nice to actually "see" that happen and develop. This should''ve been two stories. The walking in during sex got old... them having sex while A TRAUMATIZED KID who was just being abused by a pedophile is down stairs and then being ok walking in on that? Seriously? I really liked Blythe. I wish I could have seen or felt her character more. I wish I Could have seen more of her sisters, the Drakes, and Prakenskii brothers bonding and working together. I liked this book, but I do feel cheated and sad that I don''t get the amazing ending to two amazing series. Instead I got the first book in a new series. LOVED the part where Viktor asks to come home. It''d be nice for Ms. Feehan to put out a novella about the Prakenskii brothers actually bonding outside of the MC. Maybe having them not look like pansy''s which this book totally made them out to be. Which destroyed their larger than life characters. Or better yet make book 2 so we can actually see some of the stuff we missed out on.

Having started Ms. Feehan''s Torpedo Ink series with book #3, it will be no surprise that I continued reading backward when catching up.  Bound Together is Sea Haven book #6 but is also the start of her Torpedo Ink Series with the telling of the story between Ink''s prez Czar (Viktor) and Haven Sister Blythe.  The two met when Viktor was in Sea Haven on the trail of a pedophile and fell in love only to have Viktor mysteriously disappear with no word.  Blythe picks up the pieces of her broken heart and soldiers on until Viktor reappears thinking to pick up where they left off.

I will admit that I hadn''t read the rest of the Sea Haven Series but luckily, it isn''t necessary to follow the story.  Ms. Feehan adds enough details so that you never feel lost as to what is going on and who is who.   Through thoughts and interactions, Czar fills in the details as to why he was gone for so long and why he is the way he is.  And it isn''t pretty.  Czar and his brothers and sisters in arms lived through horrific childhoods, surviving by using their paranormal gifts and wits.   Blythe is a woman for whom love burned her badly but she is compassionate enough to hear what Czar has to say but makes him work for her forgiveness.

Packed with heartfelt moments, scorchingly hot scenes, and heart-pounding action scenes, Bound Together is an engaging page-turner with more sex than in Ms. Feehan''s usual fare and definitely not for the squeamish when it comes to the pasts of the Torpedo Ink members.  A great beginning to a new series, which I can say absolutely since I read the next few books.

The first book in the series and this last one were ok; the others were variations on the same theme, with the names and dramas changed to make them seem different. The concept to have siblings raised to be tools of the bad man was interesting. But the entire sex-slave ring theme is such a deep subject and in this series was obviously used as a vehicle to get through the 7 "sisters of the heart", without a lot of effort spent on making each story and raison d''etre unique.

In this version, Feehan took a turn from the previous badassery into the latest motorcycle club fad badassery. At least the club seemed more my speed, as in alpha male didn''t mean women were only good for women''s work and everything else should be left to the men. But the story really only had one character, Viktor''s desire to be healed by Blythe. Everyone and everything else just revolved around that central point and that was as deep as the story really went. The final showdown and resolution of the rape and torture Elle Drake supposedly experienced in the previous series was used throughout this series as a hook, but went out with a whimper. Elle really didn''t get her justice nor did Lev receive absolution.

The screaming and public sex I didn''t find humorous or necessary. It was dumb. Feehan missed a lot of opportunities for Blythe to really show she was a strong personality, when Blythe did not stand firm on having serious discussions in her bedroom, in the middle of the night, interrupting sex. She also let the opportunity of Blythe forging a relationship independently with the other MC members, thereby healing them, by allowing Viktor to do all the talking.

An interesting spin on the end of the series, but not enough of a hook to draw me into the next one.

Oh my god. It’s taken me almost four years to read this book but I wanted to read everything, the Drake Sisters series and the other Sisters of the Heart series again before reading this. I would get distracted and get away from the series, but I got it. I read it all together. It just made the story that much more emotional for me.

There were even a couple of places where I almost cried and I just couldn’t put the book down. It’s been a long time since I’ve finished a book in one day, but I couldn’t stop reading and I am very glad that I was off from work that day.

Now, there were a few little hiccups in the writing. For example, in one of the earlier books, they said that Hannah’s baby was a boy. The next book, a girl. This book, it’s back to being a boy.

Another hiccup, a pretty big one in my opinion, was that Elle was said to have burnt out, or almost burnt out her talent a month earlier. So…there’s no way that you’re telling me the events of Hidden Currents, the events of the 5 other Sisters of the Heart books….all took place in a month? That doesn’t make sense. They also said that Jackson and Elle went on a long honeymoon…I doubt a few weeks is enough to tour Europe and get her healed.

Besides those hiccups though and like two questions I have, this was an amazing book. A tad upset that the author had been building up the showdown between Lev and Jackson and we saw nothing of it, though.

I loved the simplicity of the cover, it didn’t feel awkward like Spirit Bound or Fire bound, I loved the pacing and I loved the bikers. They were great and I can’t wait to start the series that’s about them.

Thank you for reading my review.

I have enjoyed this series, as well as the Drake series before it, and I''m sure I will like the spin-off about Viktor''s adoptive brother and sisters, since I''m very curious about all of them. However, I was a little disappointed by this book... For a while I''ve found that the books are getting quite repetitive; with a few exceptions, the Prakenskii brothers are practically identical and there are certain sentences and explanations that get repeated throughout the book until I could feel myself rolling my eyes and beginning to get a little annoyed - I do not need to be told the same thing a hundred times, I got it the first time! I always enjoy Christine Feehan''s characters and although I''ve never been intrigued by Blythe, Viktor has interested me since we met him properly in book 6 and I liked the brief introduction we got to his adoptive brothers, although I would have liked a scene of them meeting Blythe''s sisters and Viktor''s blood brothers. Honestly, I was a little disappointed that it didn''t happen and there wasn''t as much interaction between the main characters and the supporting characters as there usually is, which I usually really like. And then there was the issue of Blythe''s puppy... where was she the whole book? :-( It was a good book for the most part, though I didn''t feel it was an adequate end to the series, despite there being a spin-off.
