Palette party // NYX Blushed Cheeks Palette

Posted on Posted in Beauty
Hello everyone!

Time for the third episode on review month, here on Bubbles and macaroons! I decided to stick to the makeup related theme, so here is a review on the NYX Blushed Cheeks palette. I got it from a friend for my birthday back in November. Let’s go!

Packaging

The palette has a simple, sleek packaging.

The palette has some very versatile shades. The gold one is quite strange to put on your cheeks, but it’s great to give your face a golden, bronze glow in summer. The other colors offer a wide range of colors for summer and winter.

Swatches

Swatches of the top row. The glitter shade is the least pigmented. I also like this one the least. The golden and orange shade are perfect for summer, and are highly pigmented. The darkbrown is perfect for the winter days.

As you can see the glittery pink isn’t pigment and the glitters are very chunky. I am very satisfied with the other ones.
The colors blend into the skin very nicely and have a decent lasting power.

Pro’s and cons

+Wide color variety
+Sleek packaging, suitable for traveling
+ Good lasting power
+ Very blendable

-Chunky glitter shade
– Not all as pigmented as the pink shade
– Mostly dark and “out there” shades

Recommendations

I recommend this palette for people that are looking for a little “on the go” palette when you are traveling. If you are a real blush lover, this one is great for you. I do not recommend it when you are more into soft, light blushes. The color variety is great, so there will be a shade for every event or season.

I give this palette a 7/10.

That was it for today everyone! Did you get your hands on this beautiful palette? Do you want it? Let me know in the comments!
