Today I am sharing with you my Valentine’s day experience. Since I don’t have a boyfriend, don’t worry about romantic evenings and jealousmaking photos, I just had two fantastic days with my best friend and my family. Because this is a bit different to share, I thought that it would be a good idea to make a blogpost on it! If you want to know what I loved so much this weekend, let’s continue reading!
My best friend and I decided to turn Valentine’s day into a complete weekend, because why not do that?
My mother was very excited for Valentine’s day as well. Because she loves decorating the house so much, she decided to get out all her stuff and redecorate the house in a Valentine’s day theme! Pink, candles and flowers were everywhere. I really liked it, so I took some pictures from her work. I hope you enjoy!
On saturday I also went out with my friend to go to Mcdonalds. We heard there was some kind of Valentine’s menu so we couldn’t stay home! And of course, Mcdonalds is such a guilty pleasure, best to be doing it on Valentine’s day right? We went to the nearest restaurant of Mcdonalds and orderd us some big old french fries, nuggets and a P’tit Chicken wrap. And as you guys know, it was so freaking delicious.
After we stuffed our faces with Mcdonalds, we went to the movies. Classic date, you know? We went to see the movie ‘How To Be Single’. And since we are real pigs, we bought some popcorn as well. (Yes, I know we look sad, but the whole theater was filled with best friends, so at least we weren’t alone, haha!) About the movie, it was amazing. It was one of the best movies I have seen in a long while. The whole theater had to laugh at what Rebel Wilson (aka Robin here, but better known as Fat Amy) did. Me and my friend really recognized ourselves in what she did. After all, the movie had a very nice message as well. They did a good job on this movie! I would really recommend watching this if you love a good comedy. It is definitely a must see!
So now it is time for the real Valentine’s day. After I had completely shut down my social media because of all the cute Valentine’s day couples, I could enjoy my day. To start off the day good, we let a service called Jimelly’s deliver a brunch-basket to our house. I really looooved this concept, I was so excited. It was my mother’s idea so it was my father’s time to be surprised this time. While he was still sleeping, my mom and I started decorating our diningtable with red hearts and petals. It looked really cute!
My dad was really surprised when our bell rang and he had to open the door. There it was, a full basket of brunch goodies. And yes, it is supposed to be for two, but my mom felt pity for me so she made sure there was enough LOL! Do I have to be offended or just happy? I decided to just be happy with it, and enjoy the brunch.
What do you think about it? It was so delicious guys, and there was more than enough! It was the first time in my life I drank champagne before 11 in the morning, and it was very luxurious to do. We ate some croissants, sandwiches, cereal and all the good things that belong with it. I loved it so much!
In the afternoon, carnival was coming to my own village. I already made a post on carnival in my hometown that you can read here. This thing in my own village where I live was a very small ceremony and not comparable to what we have in our town. We still went thou because the ceremony came to our own streets, so it would be a bit silly to not go right?
My best friend came over again and we went to watch it together. It was a cold day, but it was still a nice afternoon and we had to laugh a lot at what we saw.
They threw a lot of candy as well so we grabbed as much as we could!
To end the day, we went to a restaurant in the evening. This time it was my mom to be surprised because this was my dad’s idea. And yes, I could come along because I am just one sad person without a boyfriend, haha! We had some delicious food thou, I can enjoy food so much. Luckily I don’t have to pay attention to my weight thou! Ready for some foodporn?
That was it for today everyone, I hope you enjoyed reading this and that I brought a smile on your face whilst reading my little adventures, haha! Let me know in the comments down below what your Valentine’s experience was because as you might know by now, I really like reading you guys’ thoughts!
See you next time!
