Hello everyone!
First of all, a happy new year to each and everyone of us. I hope you guys had a safe, fun and cosy new years eve. I sure partied a lot! I hope you guys started the new year the way you wanted to, because there’s no better way to kick a new year is to some of the things you like the most! Today I am back with a post that is new years eve -related. I am showing my party-make-up step by step in a tutorial and some of my thoughts I have this new year. Let’s take a look!

My wishes for 2016
Before I start with the main theme of this post, I wanted to share some of my thoughts I was having when we were counting down to 2016. People set goals for themselves to accomplish during the new year and make a lot of promises to people they often cannot accomplish. I was thinking about the past years and everything going in my life.
The only thing I want for 2016 is To Be Happy. Yes, with capitalized letters.
It is the only thing that counts for me because the past years I had a lot of dark thoughts and i went through a lot of things that made me very sad. That’s why I want to enjoy life and make sure I laugh everyday this year. Even the simpliest, normal days, I want to make sure I did something I really love with the people I love the most. I really need to focus on myself and achieve my own goals for college, family, friends and general life. I was thinking on New Years Eve that a year really flies by. Yes, that may be a cliché thing to say, but it is true. My family and I have traditions on New Years Eve so we do the same thing every year over and over again. That made me realize how fast everything goes.
It feels like last week I was counting down to 2015, and now we are already 12 months later.
Also life in general flies by very fast. I am already in the second year of college. It scares me how fast I came here because sometimes I just want to be a child again, no worries and just playing around. Right now, everything is different.
That is also one of the main reasons I want to make everyday count and say ‘yes‘ to a lot more opportunities because it can be over so soon.
I wanna have fun with the people I am surrounded with. It is okay to shed a tear once in a while, but I don’t want a copy of last year, because that wasn’t a year to remember. Since November, I felt more confident and sure about the people I call my friends and family. That’s also why I started my blog around that period.
I may not have a lot of family and friends, but that is a decision I consciously made. You can’t keep everyone happy and it is very tiring to please people who will not appreciate what you do for them. Just let them go, and surround yourself with the people who actually want to be in your life.
I want to say to you guys: keep on going, stay strong, because there will come a day everything will feel better, even in this crazy society, where it is not easy to live in.
Eye primer
Okay guys, now let’s kick off this post! Priming is key when you have big events coming where you are wearing your make-up for a long time. It sure isn’t the intention of putting on make-up to melt off after a couple of hours. I primed my eyes with several products.

Eyeshadows
I used quite a lot of eyeshadows. I wanted to go all out because it isn’t New Years Eve everyday! Let’s take a look at what I created.

Foundation
As you now by now, there’s a reason why I didn’t apply my foundation as the first step in my routine. Because of the glitter, it would be one big mess if we did this first.

Liners and mascara
A look wouldn’t be complete without a good layer of mascara and some eyeliner.

Blushers and bronzers
One of my favourite parts!

Lips

The final look
And completed!

Hair
I went for some festive curls.

Outfit
Glitter always attracts my eyes. I really love this style so for New Years Eve I couldn’t resist!

That was it for this post, I hope you enjoyed walking through my getting ready for New Years eve. Let me know what you guys think! Stay tuned for some more new yearsposts because I have some more ideas! I wish you guys all the very best for 2016 and make everyday a day you’ll remember.
See you next time!
