Hello everyone!

Today’s post is quite different than me and you guys are used to. But since lifestyle is also part of my blog and traveling is something I love the most, I decided to share it with you!

Last weekend I went to a local nature reserve with my parents. It was Sunday and we didn’t really had to do something so we decided to make a winter walk in our nature close by. I like to enjoy things the way they are and one of my goals is to enjoy everyday even when it is just a small thing so I loved doing this walk. I can really enjoy myself walking around in nature and listening to the sounds of nature. It makes me feel calm and just simply happy.

Wanderlust is a part of myself and I really want to see everything in the world. That’s why I love exploring and looking at small things, discovering new things to try out is what I love to do the most.

I hope that I stirred up your wanderlust as well so let’s take a look at what I explored last weekend!

Our afternoon started with a long and cold but very nice and beautiful walk through the woods.

Since the woods are surrounded by a lake, it was very interesting to look at. Temperature has been low the past few days so there was a little bit of frost on the plants and the trees. The big lake wasn’t frozen, but some of the smaller ponds had a thin layer of ice. That made it very beautiful to look at.

On the border of the lakes, there were big canes. The past week we had a lot of rain, so the water was beginning to come above the shore.

Then we arrived at the animal reserve. Normally there are lot more animals but because it is winter, they moved to a warmer home. We saw different species of ducks, swans and geese. Some sea-gulls were flying by as well.

The last part of our walk was through a small path. Since the water was very high, it was very interesting to walk over the path because the water was almost touching our feet! We where standing in the middle of lake. I loved the sight we had there.

Time to warm up a little bit! We stopped at a little café to drink a hot chocolate and eat something sweet. I went for the caramel hot chocolate with whipped cream and pancakes. This was so good!

Our afternoon ended with a very beautiful sunset over the lake. The clouds looked pink and purple and the lake gave a breath-taking reflection of our lovely sun. I was so happy when I got a view of this!

That was it for today guys! I hope you enjoyed this quite different post. I want to encourage you guys to take a walk and enjoy the little things in your neighborhood. It makes you feel so much more happier. Let me know what you think of this post and if I should keep on doing it!

See you next time!

xoxo, Tessa
