Hello everyone!

Fall is back into town and in a couple of weeks we are going into winter. That calls for a new wardrobe. I listed a couple of the new trends this season here and how you can incorporate them in your own wardrobe. Time to sit back and enjoy these trends!

Fall gives Ghent colour.

inspiration

I got the most of my inspiration on Pinterest. On this social media app I follow a lot of people that got pins that seem very interesting to me. I also looked on websites of some of my favourite stores, to see what they have in stock right now.

fashion

trend 1: a statement cardigan

Fall is all about the cardigans. If you really want to be in style, choose a long one. The best ones reach under your bottom. There are cardigans in all colours and patterns.

trend 2: utility jacks

Kaki colour is very trending this fall. If you combine kaki with a utility jacket, you are very much in style.

trend 3: maroon is the way to go

Oh, that beautiful maroon colour. When fall starts to show itselves around september, everyone is taking out their maroon side. Maroon pants, maroon sweaters, maroon blazers,… You can never go wrong with this colour in fall.

trend 4: highwaisted skirts

I see a lot of highwaisted flowy skirts coming up this autumn. When you combine them with a belt and a top or sweater tucked into your skirt, you have a complete look.

trend 5: thin sweaters

This trend is perfect for the transition weather. In the morning it is cold and midday, it is way to hot for your favourit thick sweater. This sweaters are made from a thin material and flow out at the bottom. It is a very simple but tidy look. I like to wear this on days that I don’t have a lot of inspiration for a unique outfit. I take out a thin sweater and select a fitting big necklace, combined with jeans and booties.

trend 6: jeans jackets

Even in autumn you can take out your favourite jeans jacket. You just have to incorporate them into your falloutfits. A combination that I like is a fall dress, the jeans jacket and a thick scarf, together with boots.

You can never go wrong with a blazer. It gives your look a classic look. I think a blazer looks always very nice. Combined with your favourite booties, a jeans and a thick scarf, you are very nicely dressed!

Long brown boots and short booties are always coming back in autumn. Booties with fringe give a more playful feel to your look whereas long boots give a classic touch to your outfit.

Put away your contouring products and stock up on rosey and peachy blushes. Putting some of your dark lipstick on your cheeks could work as well.

shine and metal

Shiney gold and gray metaleyeshadows are a trend in Autumn. Focus on the eyeshadow when following this trend and try to minimalize the rest of your make-up. The focus should be on your eyes.

taupe eyeshadow and a smoked lash line

In fall, it is a trend to wear darker eyeshadow like taupe or brown. When you combine this with a soft liner and smoke it into your lash line you are very fall-ish.

nails

Colours as brown, orange, maroon, dark red, taupe scream fall. Colours in this shades are the most easy to combine with your fall outfit. If you are more skilled on the nail-department, you can also add some designs on your nails. Leaves are very common to draw on your nails.

hair

If you want to be completely in style for fall, you have to incorporate your hair in the autumn-style. Colours like red or dark brown, caramel or chocolate are very common to dye your hair. If you want to be a bit more subtle, you can take a balayage or meches in a warm colour. Fall is all about warmth in your hair. Meches in darkblonde or lightbrown are a good choice. If you want to style your hair different for autumn, you are best off with some loose curls. It isn’t in style anymore to wear your hair straight this fall. Curls and volume are the way to go.
