Brow 101// Product hits & misses

Posted on Posted in Beauty
Hello everyone!

Todays post will be all about the brows. I have tried some products for brows over the past year or so so I thought I’d share with you some of the good products and some of the bad ones I had. Let’s go!

Benefit Kabrow!

I have been using this product for a while and I love the look it gives my brows. It looks natural and it is easy to apply it with the little brush it comes with. The consistency of the product is not really smooth which is kind of a bummer. You have to dip in the product a lot if you want your brow to be filled in equally, so that’s what bothers me a little about this product.

Maybelline Brow Gel

One of the ultimate misses in this blogpost. This product is way too dark for my brows, and I even got the lightest shade. They called it dark brown. Like why even? When I use this, my brows are way too dark. I am not a fan of the consistency either. You can really see a smush of product hanging in the brow, it gives a really dirty look to it.

Important note to mention: I was a fan of this product when it first came out. It was my go to product. But then they renewed the formula and it is not for me anymore. The brush changed as well and I don’t think it is handy. I am still mourning about the old version of this!

Rimmel Brow This Way powder

When I first saw this product, I was really intrigued by it. What was this kind of weird stick with powder on it? At first I didn’t like it either, but it turns out to be really handy. There’s no need for a brush anymore. If you use this lighthanded, you get a really soft evenly filled in eyebrow. I like it!

NYX Eyebrow gel

This product comes in a little tube. The product is liquid and it looks like a dupe for the Makeup Forever one. Unfortunately this does not work for me. It gets me the same effect as the Maybelline brow gel: flakey brows full of product even though I do not use that much of product. I look ridiculous when I use it. The product is so thick and hard at the same time. It goes on in harsh little strokes and it is not blendable. Too bad.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade

A product by the queen of the brows. This product is the go-to for a lots of beautyvloggers and bloggers. I did not purchase this until a few weeks ago, because I found it really pricey. I definitely understand the raving about this. The product is so creamy and it goes on like a dream. It makes my brows look defined, natural and just pretty. I think it is definitly worth the price!

What is your go-to brow product?

See you next time!

Your Belgian blogger,

xoxo, Tessa

  1. I haven’t tried the ABH pomade yet, but it’s on my list. I have tried their Brow defined pencil and I like it a lot! I’m still in search for my holy grail.
I have my own Brow product review that I’ve linked to of the Maybelline precise shaping chalk. Have you heard of it?
